Gem Silica

Gem Silica is a rare form of chalcedony that has been permanently stained blue from copper oxides and is usually found as a byproduct of copper mining. Arizona has historically produced some of the most sought after gem silica while recent finds in Peru and India are adding to the market. Considered to be more of a collector’s gemstone due to its rarity.
